Konstantinos-Michail Foteinis is a PhD candidate in Modern and Contemporary Greek and European History at the University of Ioannina. His dissertation examines the history, destruction, postwar reconstruction and memory of the Jewish Community of Arta, with emphasis on survivor testimonies. He holds a BA in Philology and an MA in History from the University of Ioannina, and an M.Ed. in Special Education from Frederick University Cyprus. He is a member of the Laboratory of Historical Research of Contemporary and Modern Societies and works as a secondary school teacher. His monograph History of the Jews of Arta (13th Century–1959) is forthcoming.
