Eleni Vakouftsi holds a PhD in the History of Social Policy, with a dissertation on the social integration of Asia Minor refugees in the Peloponnese. She studied History and Archaeology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds MAs in Black Sea Cultural Studies from the International Hellenic University and in Classics and Ancient History from the University of Exeter. Since 2024 she has held a permanent post as a philologist at the General Lyceum of Loutraki. She has presented her research on refugee integration at several conferences and has taken part in Lausanne Project teaching workshops.
