Irena Stefoska
Irena Stefoska is a Macedonian historian and politician. She served as a Member of Parliament (2016–2020) and as Minister of Culture (2020–2022). A professor at the Institute of National History in Skopje, she holds degrees from Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, Central European University, and the University of Belgrade, and earned her PhD in 2007. She was a Fulbright Scholar, a Robert Bosch Fellow at Columbia University, and visiting professor at Brown University. As Minister, her priorities were European integration, cultural heritage, and youth. Stefoska has published widely on historiography, memory, and identity in North Macedonia and the Balkans.
