Maria Mavrommati

Assistant Professor in History Didactics at the Department of Primary Education, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

Maria Mavrommati is an Assistant Professor in History Didactics at the Department of Primary Education, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She holds a degree in History and Archaeology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, a Master’s degree from the University of St Andrews, Scotland, and a PhD from the University of Macedonia. She is an expert for the Council of Europe on issues of history teaching and a member of international organizations in the same field. Her research interests focus on history education, intercultural education and historical learning, historical consciousness and public history, history and film, as well as digital history.
