Angelos Palikidis is Professor of History Didactics at the Democritus University of Thrace, Greece. He is board member of the International Society for History Didactics, managing editor of the International Journal of History Education & Culture, convenor of The Lausanne Project and expert in history education at the Observatory on History Teaching in Europe.

Currently he is drafting the “Report on History Teaching at Regional Level” on behalf of the Congress of Local & Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, and he is principal investigator of the research project “From Historiography to Education: Shared Perspectives in Modern Greek and Ottoman History” (HistorEdu).
