Kenan Çayır holds the position of Professor of Sociology at Istanbul Bilgi University, where he also directs the University’s Centre for Sociology and Education Studies. Subsequent to earning his doctorate, he pursued research at the Centre for Citizenship and Human Rights Education at Leeds University in the United Kingdom, and at the Georg Eckert Institute for International Textbook Research in Germany.
His primary scholarly interests encompass human rights and citizenship education, inclusive education, the sociology of discrimination, and intergroup relations.
