In the second episode of our series “ViewPoint: War and Peace as Betrayal”, young people from across the region confront their perspectives on a topic that has sparked deep divisions for decades: What does it actually mean to be a patriot when war breaks out? Through this debate featuring youth from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro and Serbia, we examine the deeply ingrained belief that national loyalty is inextricably linked to one’s readiness to participate in war. For them, were those who said “no” to war traitors or humanists?
