Neven Budak, member of the Scientific Committee of JHP 2.0, is a retired professor of medieval history from the Universities of Zagreb and Rijeka. He was a recurrent visiting professor at the Central European University and a guest lecturer at a number of universities throughout Europe and in Japan and Canada. He taught mostly Croatian mediaeval history, European urban history and the history of mediaeval identities. He is a member of the advisory board of several European journals and an honorary member of the International Commission for the History of Towns (2014). He is author and editor of fourteen books and over 200 articles, book chapters and reviews.
