Maja Stojanović is the Executive Director of the civil society organization Civic Initiatives. She completed her undergraduate studies in Communication Studies at the Faculty of Media and Communications in Belgrade. She has decades of experience in human rights protection, dealing with the past, and civil society development. She has authored and edited several publications addressing these topics. She is a founder of numerous national and international networks and organizations, including the Human Rights House and Democracy in Belgrade. She is the recipient of the Franco-German Prize for Human Rights and the Rule of Law (2025).
