Jelena L. Petković is an award-winning freelance journalist with long experience at Vesti (Germany) and bylines in Cenzolovka, France 24, Novosti, Radar, IFJ and IPI. She is a member of the Serbian Press Council Complaints Commission, EFJ’s Freelance Expert Group, and IPI. Her work focuses on journalist safety, impunity, hate speech, ethnic bias and media ethics, where she also trains and consults. She has conducted extensive research on missing and killed journalists in Kosovo (1998–2005), as well as on disinformation and standards of ethical reporting.
