Günter Seufert, member of the Scientific Committee of JHP 2.0, is a freelance author and publicist based in Berlin. For many years he has dealt with Turkey and its region as well as with its relations with Europe as journalist, academic and research coordinator in Bremen, Lausanne, Istanbul, and Nicosia. In 2010 he joined the German Institute for International Affairs and Security (SWP) in Berlin as a policy analyst and later as the founding director of the Center for Applied Turkey Studies (CATS). Most recent publications with the weekly Der Freitag, Deutsche Welle, and Internationale Politik, Journal of the German Council for Foreign Relations.
