Dorian Koçi
Dr. Dorian Koçi is an Albanian historian and public intellectual whose work explores the shared and interconnected histories of Southeast Europe. Trained in history and cultural studies, he has held leading roles in Albania’s academic and cultural institutions, including serving as Director of the National Historical Museum. His research focuses on the Ottoman legacy, state formation, memory politics, and post-communist transitions, always emphasizing multiperspectivity and critical reflection. Beyond academia, he contributes to public debate through essays, lectures, and media commentary, and actively supports regional initiatives that encourage questioning national narratives and engaging with history through diverse perspectives.
