Aleksandra Tomanić, member of Friends of JHP 2.0, has been Executive Director of the European Fund for the Balkans since 2019 and joined the board of the German Southeast Europe Association in 2024. She previously worked with GIZ on the German-Serbian Initiative for Sustainable Growth and Employment.
Earlier, she coordinated EU policies and regional initiatives with Serbia’s Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction Unit. Her formal professional career began at the European Commission’s DG Enlargement in Brussels, focusing on various horizontal policies, civil society and media issues in particular. She relocated to Belgrade in 2013 to support Serbia’s EU integration efforts.
