The final episode of our series “ViewPoint: Who Goes First (to Apologize)” addresses the vicious cycle of waiting for “the other side” to apologize. Between the concepts of “our victims” and “their crimes,” a space has been created where accepting responsibility for crimes is often seen as a betrayal of one’s own state and nation. Through their observations and perspectives, participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro and Serbia discuss how they see this issue, questioning what truly lies behind the insistence on an apology from others.
